Monica Then

Monica is a 25 year-old Cambodian American who was born and raised in Oakland, California. She is the Community Health Specialist for Banteay Srei. Growing up in the streets of Oakland, she faced many challenges but still manages to continue thriving for her goals in life -graduate college, serve the community, and provide a great and healthy future for her child. Because of her childhood experiences, she dedicates her life into reaching out to at risk young women in order to empower and educate them about their community and raise their self-determination. Monica loves to eat pickles with chili sauce, hike, and be with nature but not snakes and rats, or anything that looks like them.
