Delia Zhou
Hi my name is Delia. I’m a undergrad at UC Berkeley majoring in Political Science with a minor in Asian American Asian diaspora studies and Race & the Law. I grew up in East Oakland, CA in a neighborhood known as the dubs where sex trafficking and prostitution are systemically present and disproportionately impacts low-income communities of color, particularly young girls of color. I’m passionate about connecting with the youth and cultivating sisterhood amongst our beautiful and resilient diaspora. My biggest wish is to empower the youth with love and support and provide them with opportunities I wish I had growing up as a young girl in East Oakland. On my free time I love to go thrifting, crochet cool funky bags, or eat yummy Lao food! Through my involvement with Banteay Srei, I hope to continue to foster relationships with Southeast Asian youth that empower, support, and nurtures their lived experiences.
